Permit Process

1. Phone call

We will discuss the scope of work and understand the needs of the client. We will do a free feasibility study to check Building code and zoning before doing a site visit. We will provide a quote based on the project location and the scope.

2. Site Visit

We will visit the site once confirmed by the client. During the visit we will take detailed measurements required for permit/design work. We will talk with the client if they have any design ideas or suggestions. Homeowners are requested to provide a blueprint /survey of the house if available.

3. Draft drawing

We will prepare an initial draft with multiple possible options based on the client requirement.

4. Design discussion

We will have a call with the client to discuss the options. We will  make changes according to client feedback until our clients are satisfied with the layout.

5. Final Design

We will finalize the drawings and send it to the client for approval.

6. Submission to city

We will submit the drawings to the city with all applicable forms. We will be monitoring updates from the city to ensure we obtain permits on time. We will take care of revisions requested by the city.

7. Permit issue

Once the permit is issued by the city, we would send the permit drawing and permit card  to the client. We would be happy to answer any questions the client might have regarding the permit after the permit issuance.
